Zembuk is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable privacy laws including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
We collect information you provide when signing up (name, email, phone, business name), booking and job data entered into the platform, customer contact details you add, usage data, and payment information processed via Stripe. We do not store full card details.
We use your data to provide and improve the Zembuk service, send booking confirmations and reminders via SMS and email, process payments, and communicate with you about your account. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to deliver the service: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), and Render (cloud infrastructure). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.
Your data is stored securely on servers located in the United States, operated by Render. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Australian users: Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
New Zealand users: Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you. You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@zembuk.com. You may also export your customer data from the dashboard at any time.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days upon request. Some data may be retained longer where required by law.
We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
Zembuk is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Zembuk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
